And four other well-known physicians agree. See videos below.
In the last chapter of our book, we cited a statistic projecting that over the next forty years, the prevalence of type 2 diabetes in the USA would rise from one in ten to an astounding one in three. Beginning with arguably the most famous “real doctor” in the world, Dr. Dean Ornish; here’s what he wrote for the endorsement to our book:
“What’s good for you is also good for our planet. Although heart disease and diabetes kill more people worldwide than all other diseases combined, these are completely preventable and often reversible for at least 95% of the people today by changing our diet and lifestyle. This book shows you how.”
––Dean Ornish, M.D., Clinical Professor of Medicine, UC San Francisco; author, The Spectrum and Dr. Dean Ornish’s Program for Reversing Heart Disease.
In addition to serving as a consulting physician for President Clinton since 1993, Dr. Ornish has an impeccable record as a medical school professor, author and the founder of the non-profit Preventive Medicine Research Institute. This man is the real deal. You can trust this man. So why are millions of Americans ignoring his advice about eliminating their type 2 diabetes or their heart disease?
Because an estimated 95% of all of our best and brightest (including medical doctors, nutritional scientists, and dietitians) still believe that we actually “need” to eat animal protein to be healthy. They also believe that moving all the way to a whole foods, plant-based diet-style would be too extreme — and that most people simply wouldn’t do it.
But shouldn’t we be given a choice? Shouldn’t we all be told the truth about the power of plant-based eating so that each of us can make our own decision? Of course we should; yet the big “disease organizations” like the AHA, AMA, ADA, and the ACS are not telling us what we need to know about nutrition. But, there are a handful of medical doctors who are telling us the complete truth — and we have short “diabetes” videos from four of them today.
Like many people say when they hear something they’ve never heard before, “Well, I’ll need to hear that from more than one doctor.” How about four more? Take just ten minutes and listen to what Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. John McDougall, Dr. Joel Fuhrman and Dr. Neal Barnard have to say about diabetes.

ok whats the catch how much does it cost
A lot less than you might think. The same diet style that reverses type 2 diabetes, also reverses heart disease, enables your body to attain it’s optimal weight and so much more. It also costs a whole lot less than the standard American fare of meat, dairy and highly processed foods at every meal. And if you factor in the saved medical expenses, the average person can save over $10,000 by eating a whole foods, plant-based diet.
Take a look at a blog I wrote about the cost of plant-based eating in November of 2011. https://hpjmh.com/2011/11/29/the-dollars-and-sense-of-plant-based-eating/

This is awesome – thank you for keeping it short and “digestible”. I hope people heed the message.
I’m still amazed at the number of people who you offer this info to, who still continue to eat crap. They’re slaves to their taste buds – they would rather be sick and rely on medication than just change what’s on their plate. And we keep bearing the cost of the health care (or more accurately, “sick care” burden. Insanity at its best.
But thank you again for making this information available and accessible.
To have the perspectives of all these superstars in one place is just awesome! Thank you!
The life work of two others, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr, pertaining to cancer and heart disease respectively, is thoroughly examined in a documentary called PLANEAT. As Dr. Andrew Saul says in another documentary called Food Matters, you don’t have to be sick!
